Chippenham, UK - June 17 2009 -
Deltenna Limited announced today that it has added new models to
its popular range of rugged antennas for the rapid deployment of
cellular services. These hardened antennas are designed to
withstand much harsher environments than their commercial
counterparts, ideal for emergency situations if the existing mobile
network fails or is overloaded.
"Mobile phones are an integral part
of our lives that we expect to work all the time" said Deltenna's
CEO Andrew Fox. "Recent tragic events have highlighted this
reliance and these antennas are designed for portable base station
equipment that can be deployed quickly at an incident scene".
The new additions to the range have a
slimmer profile, having a depth of 40 mm, and a wider variety of
mounting options.
Offering wideband performance across
multiple cellular bands, these antennas can be easily mounted to
emergency vehicles and other structures. All use circular
polarisation with guaranteed performance across the band to ensure
extended coverage.
If the mobile network fails or needs
additional capacity, this family of rugged antennas is part of a
portable base station solution that can be rapidly deployed by the
emergency services.
